  1. A guy in Australia got around this. He'd put his tracker (work phone) in a faraday cage(a twisties packet). This blocks the antennas on the device from receiving the GPS/GSM signal.

  2. But who's behind all that ,
Galaxy smart phones are stealing clients private data,
they can have a full control on your phone 2 .
i remembered the law case when the stole i phone technology .

  3. the largest scale database of private obtained knowledge inside the uk is the tesco clubcard , they tried to model stores with 4 lcd screens in each shopping aisle to pick up who you are as a customer with chip in clubcard and advertise previous items you had bought from that aisle on 4 yes 4 screens per aisle and that idea was deemed to george orwell 84 but they more about you know than you do hence operation club card finished and rewards for said use has diminished data has been succesfully now gathered

  4. GOOD BUT OUT-OF-DATE! Regardless of settings, Big Google is always recording and photographing you. Covering the camera or microphone makes NO difference because Big Google is photographing through the screen AND is able to DATA-MINE and profile you by pulsing the phone whether on or off, with or without battery in place. TRUST GOOGLE? ABSOLUTELY FOOLISH!

  5. Apps collect and store the user's personal data regardless of whether the facility has been turned off or not. Anyway, credit and kudos to The Guardian for the excellent work their people do in researching, investigating, and exposing, Big Brother(s) and the gradual erosion of our civil liberties.

  7. here's a novel idea.. leave the phone at home whenever you go out.
remember that we all used to live with just a land line at home? Bet we could all get rid of our cell phones and send THEM into a tizzy.. but.. we are addicted to the damn things now.. almost depending on THEM… WHY? How???

  8. Oh, there are options to keep your privacy? How can we ever be sure they work 100%? Luckily I still have an old Nokia dumbphone in my drawer, which I can use if I get really suspicious. Which could happen.
